MOSCOW, April 17 – RIA Novosti. The case was opened after a hard landing of the Mi-2 helicopter in the Kuban, as a result of which the pilot died, said Elena Markovskaya, senior assistant to the head of the Moscow Interregional Transport Directorate of the RF IC.
Earlier it was reported that the Mi-2 helicopter made a hard landing in the Kuban near the Krasnodar-Novorossiysk highway during agricultural work, the pilot was killed.
“A criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic safety rules and the operation of air transport, resulting in the death of a person by negligence),” Markovskaya said.
She added that the aircraft and the crash site are now being examined, fuel samples, technical documentation are being seized, and expert examinations have been appointed.
