KAZAN, April 17 – RIA Novosti. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov was vaccinated against coronavirus with one of the Russian vaccines, the press service of the head of the republic reports.
“Everyone needs to be vaccinated. Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich (Putin) was vaccinated. I also got vaccinated, everything is fine,” the press service quotes Minnikhanov at a meeting in the government of the republic on Saturday.
The press service did not specify what kind of vaccine Minnikhanov was vaccinated, noting only that this is one of the Russian vaccines.
During the meeting, the head of the republic noted that a stable tense situation with COVID-19 remains in Tatarstan. “Our growth rate is 0.16%, but the virus has not gone anywhere. In general, we look good both in terms of statistics and dynamics. However, there can be no indulgences,” he stressed.
The President drew attention to the importance of systematic vaccination work in order to prevent a surge in the incidence, as is happening in a number of countries. He stressed that the vaccination should be done, including those who have already had coronavirus. To date, about 197.8 thousand people have been vaccinated against coronavirus in Tatarstan. Minnikhanov recalled that there are 153 vaccination points in the republic. People themselves can choose which vaccine to vaccinate.
