LUGANSK, April 12 – RIA Novosti. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic did not rule out provocations on the part of Kiev representatives at the upcoming meetings of the contact group on Donbass and its working subgroups.
The next meetings of the subgroups and the contact group on Donbass are scheduled for April 13 and 14.
“Taking into account the results of the last extraordinary meeting of the contact group, there are fears that Ukrainian representatives will continue to undertake all kinds of provocations and attempts to imitate constructive work in real sabotaging a peaceful settlement of the conflict and the implementation of the Minsk agreements,” the ministry said in a statement on its Telegram channel.
As noted in the department, representatives of the LPR expect to achieve constructive work on a draft plan for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass during videoconferences, receive a written confirmation from Kiev of all parameters of the operation of the Lugansk-Schastye and Pervomaisk-Zolote checkpoints, as well as start a productive discussion coordination mechanism for verification and prevention of ceasefire violations.
“Due to the restrictions caused by the coronavirus, all meetings will be held via videoconference,” the LPR Foreign Ministry added.
