MOSCOW, April 10 – RIA Novosti. Roman Anin, editor-in-chief of the Russian Internet publication Vostochnye Stories, was interrogated as a witness in a criminal case on violation of privacy. RIA Novosti was informed about this by his lawyer Anna Stavitskaya .
First, searches took place in Anin's house for almost seven hours, the agency's interlocutor said. During interrogation, he refused to testify, referring to Article 51 of the Constitution, according to which a citizen is not obliged to testify against himself, his spouse or close relatives.
Nevertheless, Stavitskaya added, Anina will be interrogated again on Monday.
According to the lawyer, a criminal case was opened under the article “Violation of the inviolability of privacy with the use of official position.” It was initiated back in 2016 and was renewed recently.
