The editor-in-chief of Vostochnye Stories Anin became a witness in the criminal case

MOSCOW, April 10 – RIA Novosti. Roman Anin, editor-in-chief of the Russian Internet publication Vostochnye Stories, was interrogated as a witness in a criminal case on violation of privacy. RIA Novosti was informed about this by his lawyer Anna Stavitskaya .

First, searches took place in Anin's house for almost seven hours, the agency's interlocutor said. During interrogation, he refused to testify, referring to Article 51 of the Constitution, according to which a citizen is not obliged to testify against himself, his spouse or close relatives.

Nevertheless, Stavitskaya added, Anina will be interrogated again on Monday.

According to the lawyer, a criminal case was opened under the article “Violation of the inviolability of privacy with the use of official position.” It was initiated back in 2016 and was renewed recently. Главный редактор
