Biden expresses condolences over death of Prince Philip

MOSCOW, April 9 – RIA Novosti. US President Joe Biden expressed “deepest condolences” to Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain on the death of her husband, Duke Philip of Edinburgh, the White House said in a press release.

The statement also acknowledges the work the Duke of Edinburgh has dedicated his life to: his “efforts to protect the environment,” the support he has given to the military and the young people he has inspired.

“His legacy will live not only within his family, but also in all the charitable undertakings that he formed … Now our thoughts and hearts with Jill are with the Queen and children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Prince Philip,” Biden said.
