PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, April 6 – RIA Novosti. Seismologists have recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2, which occurred off the eastern coast of Kamchatka, according to the regional department of the Ministry of Emergencies.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the water area of the Kronotsky Bay, 372 kilometers northeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
“There was no seismic event in the settlements, no tsunami threat was announced. Calls to the EDDS of the municipal districts of the Kamchatka Territory were not received from citizens,” the region's Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
