President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on Monday solemnly opened the educational center “Alabuga Polytech”, where graduates of the ninth grade will be able to study in the most popular professions in high-tech laboratories, the press service of the head of the republic reports. “The new building” Alabuga Polytech “is 7.5 thousand square meters meters, which are equipped with high-tech laboratories for industrial robotics and mechatronics, industrial automation, electrical installation, laboratory stands and mechatronic stations from FESTO, training robotic cells KUKA, a high-voltage testing ground, laboratories with automated equipment for chemical laboratory analysis, “- said in the message.
The educational center “Alabuga Polytech” was created on the basis of the engineering college, which was founded by the SEZ “Alabuga” together with the Elabuga Polytechnic College to train ninth grade graduates of secondary schools in the most popular professions that meet the needs of Industry 4.0.
General Director of the SEZ “Alabuga” Timur Shagivaleev emphasized that the main task of the educational center is the training of qualified specialized personnel in demand from employers. These are chief engineers of new productions, heads of shops with high-tech equipment, and specialized specialists. Shagivaleev recalled that today SEZ residents are receiving real requests for specialists to work on modern industrial equipment. Personnel with specialized education and experience in the field are in demand, additional requirements are experience in working with the most modern equipment and certification from the equipment manufacturer. It is assumed that within four years, students of “Alabuga Polytech” under the guidance of existing engineers of resident plants of SEZ “Alabuga” will acquire knowledge and skills in demand from employers, learn to work on modern industrial equipment. Upon completion of the training, they will be professionals with developed soft and hard skills, having two years of continuous work experience in their specialty and a guarantee of employment at SEZ enterprises.
Currently, 200 students study at the educational center “Alabuga Polytech”.
In the presence of the President of Tatarstan, an agreement was signed between the companies – key manufacturers of industrial equipment (KUKA, Schneider Electric, Festo Didactic) for the certification of students of the educational center “Alabuga-Polytech”. In addition, an agreement was signed between Tatarstan and the WorldSkills Russia Agency, which provides for the joint creation and maintenance of the full-fledged operation of the WorldSkills technology center. The project is aimed at testing the best international practices, technologies for independent assessment of competencies according to WorldSkills standards, developing popular training programs and preparing the Russian national team for international championships.
