MOSCOW, April 4 – RIA Novosti. The head of the State Duma's international affairs committee, Leonid Slutsky, commented on the death of a five-year-old boy in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, noting that the collective West ignores the crimes of the Kiev regime.
Earlier, after the use of a drone with an explosive device by the Ukrainian security forces, a child was killed and a woman was wounded, a DPR police spokesman said.
“The European capitals remain silent, there are no loud initiatives of the name of the deceased child on sanctions pressure on Kiev, there is no reaction at all. The collective West simply ignores the crimes of the Kiev regime, proving once again that peace in Ukraine is not really necessary for it,” Slutsky wrote in Telegram.
He noted that the tragedy became a natural consequence of the policy of the Ukrainian authorities. Slutsky also called cynical against this background the accusations of Russia in “allegedly unleashed aggression with calls for the implementation of the Minsk agreements, to which we are not a party.”
“It is important for our opponents to maintain tension near the Russian borders at the cost of the lives of such boys, old men and women. Brussels and Washington are trying to play a bloody gambit on the geopolitical chessboard, hardly realizing that this game cannot be a winning one,” concluded Slutsky.
