WASHINGTON, April 4 – RIA Novosti. The phone number of the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, hit the network along with the personal data of another 533 million users of the platform, according to the New York Post.
Earlier, Business Insider reported that personal data and phone numbers of 533 million Facebook users from 106 countries were freely available on the Internet. According to the publication, this information was published on a hacker forum, thus, it is available free of charge to “anyone who has basic data manipulation skills.” Among other things, the web data were more than 32 million users in the US, more than 28 million – from Saudi Arabia, as well as nearly ten million users in Russia. This includes full names, locations, dates of birth and other information.
According to the newspaper, one of the Twitter users drew attention to the leak of Zuckerberg's data. In his account, he posted a screenshot from the forum, which contains the personal details of the founder of Facebook.
“Regarding the data leakage of 533 million people , the irony is that, unfortunately, Mark Zuckerberg is also among them. Since journalists cannot get a statement from Facebook, maybe they should call him on the number that got on the Net?” – writes the edition.
Facebook and the social network of the same name were founded in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg. The headquarters are located in California. Facebook, besides the WhatsApp messenger, owns a number of other popular services such as Messenger and Instagram.
