MOSCOW, April 4 – RIA Novosti. The train caught fire on Sunday at the Maloyaroslavets station of the Kaluga region, passengers were promptly taken out of the train, the Central Suburban Passenger Company (TsPPK) told RIA Novosti.
“Today at 12.12 at the Maloyaroslavets station in the Kaluga region, smoke occurred with a subsequent fire in the tail car of the 6306 Maloyaroslavets-Moscow train.
Firefighters were immediately called to the scene. “At the moment, all the consequences have been eliminated, the cause is being established. As a result of the incident, no one was hurt,” the company said.
Passengers who were supposed to follow this train departed on the Kaluga-Moscow express at 13.11. He proceeded to Aprelevka with all the stops of train 6306.
“The situation did not affect the movement of other electric trains,” the CPPK added.
The Kaluga transport prosecutor's office began checking after a fire in an electric train at the Maloyaroslavets railway station. As the head of the press service of the Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor's Office Ekaterina Korotkova told RIA Novosti, the Kaluga transport prosecutor has left for the scene, in case of violations, exhaustive measures of the prosecutor's response will be taken. The progress of the inspection is monitored by the Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor's Office.
