YAROSLAVL, April 3 – RIA Novosti. Roman Fomichev, a deputy of the Yaroslavl Regional Duma from the United Russia party, accused of corruption, has been placed under house arrest, press secretary of the Yaroslavl Regional Court Olga Kozlova told reporters on Saturday.
On the eve of the SUSK of Russia in the region announced the arrest of Fomichev on suspicion of committing a corruption crime. The Yaroslavl regional branch of the United Russia party announced the temporary suspension of Fomichev's membership in the party.
Kozlova later told reporters that Fomichev was suspected of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (mediation in bribery committed on an especially large scale).
At the meeting on the election of a preventive measure, it became known that the deputy was already in the status of an accused, Kozlova noted.
“By the decision of the Kirovsky District Court of Yaroslavl dated April 3, 2021, the investigator's petition against Roman Fomichev, accused of committing a crime under part 4 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (mediation in bribery committed on an especially large scale) was satisfied, a preventive measure in the form of house arrest was chosen until May 30, 2021, “she said.
Fomichev works in the regional Duma of the second convocation, is the chairman of the committee on economic policy, investment, industry and entrepreneurship. Fomichev is the head of a large construction holding “Fora”. Said on the air
