MOSCOW, April 2 – RIA Novosti. The Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow arrested Pavel Servatinsky, director of the Department of Metallurgy and Materials of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, for two months in a case of abuse of power, the court's press secretary Irakli Sokhadze told RIA Novosti.
“The court chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention in relation to Servatinsky until June 1,” – said the agency's interlocutor.
He clarified that the official was charged under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for abuse of office, the maximum sanction is imprisonment for 4 years.
The plot of the case is still unknown.
On Thursday, the Ministry of Industry and Trade confirmed to RIA Novosti that it was conducting investigative measures against Servatinsky, adding that it “assists the investigating authorities and provides all the information necessary to establish the truth.”
