MOSCOW, April 2 – RIA Novosti. The Investigative Committee published a video from the scene of the collision of two planes at the Surgut airport.
The footage shows that one of the aircraft received serious mechanical damage to the bow.
Earlier, the Ural Investigative Directorate for Transport of the UK reported that on the evening of April 1, at the Surgut airport, during aircraft maintenance, the ATR-72 vessel with running engines began “spontaneous movement”, after which it collided with a Yak-40, which was parked. There were no passengers or members on board at the time, and no one was injured as a result of the incident.
Employees of the Ural Transport Prosecutor's Office came to the conclusion that the collision was caused by a breakdown of the ATR-72 brake system. Later it turned out that the ATR-72 was owned by UTair, and the Yak-40 belonged to Skol.
