VOLGOGRAD, April 1 – RIA Novosti. The Governor of the Volgograd Region, Andrei Bocharov, made officials go up to the 20th floor on foot in a new building, so that they could feel for themselves how difficult it is to do without an elevator, and were actively involved in the development of a regional program to replace the elevator system.

According to the administration of the Volgograd region, on Thursday Bocharov held a visiting meeting in Volgograd in a long-term building, the construction of which was completed after the intervention of the regional authorities, who helped find a new developer. “Is your heart beating? I have specially defined the 20th floor today so that we walk together on foot and see how hard it is to walk … when the elevator does not work … The implementation of the program to replace the elevator system is leading and most important for the residents of the Volgograd region and the hero city of Volgograd. . I believe that the regional branch of the United Russia party … should take this project … for personal control, “Bocharov said in a video provided to journalists by his press service.

He noted that more than 800 elevators will be replaced in 2021 as part of the program to replace the elevator facilities, and 1400 elevators will be replaced next year. At the same time, it is necessary to change about 4 thousand elevators in the region. According to Bocharov, the administration of Volgograd and other cities in the region, as well as the regional duma, need to develop a long-term program for the replacement of elevators.
