MOSCOW, 17 Mar – RIA Novosti. The ethics of business communication assumes that during a meeting and negotiations, partners are not distracted by a smartphone carelessly left on the table, as well as by extraneous phone calls, Managing Partner of B&C Agency Mark Sherman told Prime. “At the same time, notifications can be received on the watch, so as not to constantly check the phone, and so that the interlocutor does not have the feeling that his counterpart is in a hurry somewhere or is busy with other things,” the expert noted.
According to him, it is better to remove the gadget from the table in advance in your pocket, bag or briefcase. It is important to demonstrate to your partner that the meeting is important to you and all attention is focused only on it.
At the same time, the specialist admitted that the phone may not harm the meeting, but vice versa.
“If the interlocutor is your potential client, and he sees that during the meeting you are responding to other clients, he will understand that his requests will always be a priority,” Sherman said.
