MOSCOW, March 16 – RIA Novosti. Almost 40% of Russians consider a monthly loan payment of no more than 5 thousand rubles to be comfortable for the family budget, while most citizens are now not ready to take out a loan, preferring to save up for large purchases, according to a study by Otkritie Bank, which is at the disposal of RIA Novosti. “About 39% of Russians surveyed believe that the optimal monthly loan payment should not exceed 5 thousand rubles, 38% are ready to give 5-15 thousand rubles on a loan every month, 17% – from 15 to 25 thousand rubles,” the experts found out.
Only 6% of respondents called a payment of more than 25 thousand rubles comfortable for the family budget.
The majority of respondents (44%) say that in the current economic situation it is preferable to save money for large purchases, for example, an apartment, car, vacation or renovation, rather than take out a loan. At the same time, almost 30% of respondents believe that right now it is more profitable to take out a loan for large purchases. According to 26%, now it is better to give up large purchases altogether.
Some Russians are still going to borrow money from a bank this year: they want to get a mortgage 15%, a car loan – 12%, a consumer loan – 18%. At the same time, 6% have recently taken out a mortgage, a car loan – 2%, a consumer loan – 7% of respondents.
At the same time, 47% of Russians believe that lending and refinancing rates in 2021 will remain unchanged, and 30% expect an increase in rates on retail loans. And 23% of Russians are optimistic and expect that loans will continue to fall in price this year.
Otkritie Bank conducted a survey on March 2-8 on a representative sample of 1,000 Russians aged 18-65 in cities with a population of over 100,000 people.
