Earlier, a group of deputies from United Russia submitted to the State Duma a bill on the right of regional authorities to independently regulate the number of homeless animals in shelters and on the territory of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation.
“It was not for this that the inhabitants of the country supported the amendments to the constitution, and our colleagues in the United Russia faction adopted the most important law on the responsible treatment of animals, so that such” initiatives “put an end to all work,” Turchak said, quoted by the press service …
According to him, there is a problem of homeless animals, but it is unacceptable to solve it by “slaughtering methods.”
