At the same time, the Brazilian strain was not found in the country, the supervisory authority added. “28 isolates belonging to the British version have been identified, two are related to the South African version; no isolates belonging to the Brazilian version have been identified,” the report says.
In 16 cases, other mutations were found, the department noted.
On March 10, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, reported that there was no sample of the South African strain in Russia at that time.
