BELGRADE, 15 March – RIA Novosti. The Slovenian authorities have suspended vaccination with the British-Swedish drug AstraZeneca pending the decision of the EU regulator, Health Minister Janez Poklukar said.
“Due to numerous doubts about the AstraZeneca vaccine, we asked the expert group to reconsider all the details. She found that there was no professional objection to the continuation of vaccination,” Poklukara quoted the Cabinet of Ministers on Twitter.

“However, as a precautionary measure, we will temporarily suspend the vaccination of AstraZeneca. At least until the final decision (of the EU drug agency) EMA,” the head of the Ministry of Health said.
He clarified that before the decision of the EMA, all Slovenian citizens who were supposed to receive this vaccine will receive another drug for immunization.
