MOSCOW, March 16 – RIA Novosti. The draft EU vaccination certificates provide that Europeans vaccinated with the Russian or Chinese vaccine will be able to enter those EU countries where these vaccines are also recognized, the Pais newspaper reports, citing a project that the European Commission will consider this Wednesday.
According to the newspaper, the certificate will allow those citizens of the community who have been vaccinated with EMA-approved vaccines to travel between EU member states without the need to comply with restrictions. The certificate will also be issued to individuals who received nationally approved vaccines, as in the case of Sputnik V and the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine in Hungary and Slovakia.
At the same time, the newspaper notes that EU citizens vaccinated with such nationally approved vaccines will be able to freely enter only those countries that also recognize them.
The certificates will be issued free of charge, both digital and paper, they will contain information in the official language of the issuing country and in English, the newspaper writes. It will be possible to read the certificate using a barcode. The issuance of certificates of three types is envisaged: about vaccination, about the results of a coronavirus test, or about the fact that a person has already been ill.
Earlier, a spokesman for the European Commission said that the European Commission on Wednesday will accept and present its proposals for the introduction of “digital green certificates” in the European Union on coronavirus.
