KHABAROVSK, March 16 – RIA Novosti. Acting Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Mikhail Degtyarev congratulated residents on the seventh anniversary of the referendum marking the reunification of Crimea with Russia, a number of thematic events will be held in the region, the local government said.
“Exactly seven years ago, on March 16, a nationwide referendum was held in Crimea. As a result, on March 18, an agreement was signed in Moscow on the entry into the Russian Federation of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. This is an important date for all Russians. In those days, in March 2014, , as an international observer, I was fortunate enough to witness the preparation and conduct of the Crimean referendum, and two days later, in the St. George Hall in the Moscow Kremlin, a historic event – the signing of documents on reunification, “Degtyarev wrote on Instagram.
He noted that the Khabarovsk Territory has long-standing friendly, socio-economic relations with Crimea. At industrial enterprises – Amur and Khabarovsk shipyards – shipbuilders of the Kerch shipyard work. “For many of them, our region has become a second small homeland,” said the head of the region.
“In addition, northern Komsomolsk-on-Amur and the resort town of Evpatoria have united twinning ties. I am convinced that we will continue to cooperate for the benefit of our regions and all of Russia,” concluded Degtyarev.
According to the regional government, 12 specialists from Crimea work at the industrial enterprises of the region in various positions. They were among the first to receive republican passports and came to Khabarovsk.
“Real professionals with extensive experience came to us. They are distinguished by their dedication, accuracy and discipline,” said Alexander Zadvorov, Deputy General Director for Production of the Khabarovsk Shipyard.
The region will host events dedicated to the seventh anniversary of the referendum and the reunification of Crimea with Russia. From 17 to 18 March in the City Palace of Culture (GDK) will take place a series of youth intellectual games “Octagon” on the topic: “Crimea – Russia! Together forever!” The game consists of individual “battles” with a combined team standings and takes place in three rounds. It will be attended by 18 teams representing schools of Khabarovsk, secondary vocational educational institutions of the region and youth public organizations.
During the days of the game, the book-illustrative exposition “Cultural heritage of Crimea” of the Far Eastern State Scientific Library, an exhibition of children's drawings from Sevastopol presented by the center of children's creativity “Folk Crafts”, and a musical corner of Crimea, where the collection of the museum “World of Speakers machines “.
The winners will be awarded on Thursday. At the solemn ceremony, the participants of the game will get acquainted with the brigade of the Crimean shipbuilders. And on Friday, March 19, a teleconference will be held with the participation of representatives of the Assembly of the Peoples of the Khabarovsk Territory and the Crimean branch of the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia.
