Leading a healthy lifestyle from youth can extend a person's life by 20-25 years, one should start following the principles of healthy lifestyle as early as possible, said Lyubov Drozdova, chief freelance specialist in medical prevention of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
“In principle, in aggregate, if we are talking about a young age, then this may be an increase of 20, even 25 years, that is, these are very significant numbers,” Drozdova said at the press center of the Rossiya Segodnya news agency at an online conference dedicated to the opening of the ZOOZh Generation healthy lifestyle marathon as part of the Demography national project.
She noted that the earlier a person begins to follow a healthy lifestyle, the more he can extend his life. According to the expert, healthy habits make the greatest contribution to life expectancy.
