MOSCOW, 15 March – RIA Novosti. The ruble continues to grow: the dollar is already at 73 rubles, the euro is almost 87, follows from the data of the Moscow Exchange.
So, by 14:07 the dollar exchange rate by “tomorrow” settlements decreased by 29 kopecks, to 73.04 rubles, the euro rate – by 59 kopecks, to 87.11 rubles. At the same time, earlier the American currency for the first time since December 17 fell below 73 rubles, and the euro fell to 87.08 rubles – the minimum since August.
The official exchange rate set by the Central Bank on March 16 is 73.2317 rubles per dollar and 87.3508 rubles per euro.
The exchange rate of the Russian currency is positively influenced by the situation on the oil market, where prices are showing moderate growth. Thus, a barrel of Brent crude oil rises in price by 0.3 percent, to 69.4 dollars.
