Earlier it was reported that a 54-year-old resident of Severodvinsk was previously criminally prosecuted under paragraph “d” of Part 2 of Article 206 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hostage-taking committed with the use of weapons).
According to the investigation, on March 11, a man in a state of alcoholic intoxication with a sawed-off hunting rifle arrived at the office of a microcredit organization in Severodvinsk, where he blocked the front door and handcuffed a 21-year-old employee, demanding to inform her management about the need to come to the office. The girl managed to press the alarm button, during the negotiations an employee of the Rosgvardia department persuaded the suspect to discharge the sawn-off shotgun, he was detained and handed over to the police.
According to the regional SUSK RF, during the interrogation, the suspect admitted his guilt and explained to the investigator that he used the services of this microcredit organization, taking a loan in the amount of 8 thousand rubles, then the amount of debt increased to 20 thousand. Due to the fact that his debt obligations were transferred to a collection agency, whose employees already demanded 100 thousand and disseminated information discrediting him and his relatives on the Internet, he came to the office with a firearm and demanded to contact the director, believing that he would convince collectors leave it alone, noted in SUSK.
During the investigation, a legal assessment of the actions of the collectors will also be given, if the testimony given by the man during interrogation is confirmed.
