KIEV, 15 Mar – RIA Novosti. The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Alexander Dubinsky, who fell under US sanctions, was expelled from the pro-presidential Servant of the People party, the press service of the political force reported.
On March 14, the pro-presidential Ukrainian party “Servant of the People” replaced the head of the Kiev regional organization, and the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Andrey Motovilovets, took Dubinsky's place.
“People's Deputy Alexander Dubinsky was expelled from the members of the Servant of the People political party for violating the charter and disobeying the party's governing bodies,” the website of the political force reported.
As explained in the press service, by order of the party chairman on March 14, a meeting of the Kiev regional organization “Servant of the People” was convened to resolve issues of re-election of governing bodies. At the same time, on March 14, Dubinsky published a video message, from which it became known that, on the initiative of the deputy, “some event took place on the same day, where a decision was made to re-elect the chairman and elect members of the political council of the Kiev regional organization.”
“However, consideration of the issue of electing the chairman of the structural formation of the Servant of the People party is impossible without prior approval by the party chairman and approval by the heads of the political council and the National Council of Communities … By such actions, Alexander Dubinsky grossly violated the requirements of the charter. In addition, Dubinsky's actions regarding the holding of the conference in gross violation the requirements of the charter discredit the Servant of the People party, the message says.
Dubinsky can appeal this decision at the next party congress.
Earlier, the United States added seven citizens and four information resources of Ukraine to the sanctions lists in connection with the elections. Dubinsky also fell under the restrictions. After that, it was decided to expel him from the parliamentary faction.
