KRASNOYARSK, 15 Mar – RIA Novosti. The head of the police department No. 1 (OP-1) of Krasnoyarsk, previously detained for a bribe, was arrested until May 11, the press service of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Court reported on Monday.
Earlier, the regional head office of the Investigative Committee reported that a criminal case was initiated against the head of one of the police departments of the Krasnoyarskoye inter-municipal administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for receiving a large bribe by an official. The department reported that the case was initiated based on the results of consideration of materials from the regional department of the FSB. In addition, a criminal case on mediation in bribery was initiated against a resident of Krasnoyarsk.
According to the preliminary version of the investigation, in February 2021, his acquaintance turned to the police chief with a request to assist in the re-qualification of his friend's criminal case from a more serious article to a less serious one, promising 600 thousand rubles for this. At the time of the transfer of money, the policeman and the intermediary were detained by operational officers of the regional department of the FSB.
