MOSCOW, March 14 – RIA Novosti. In Russia, it is necessary to introduce an increased tax on “suspiciously rich” people, wrote the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov on the Telegram channel.
He expressed this idea in connection with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor to limit “suspiciously poor” families – with formally low incomes, but substantial assets – payments for children aged three to seven years.
In addition, the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation declared the need to ratify Article 20 of the UN Convention on Combating Corruption, which establishes the requirements for matching the income and expenses of the “bureaucratic class”.
Earlier, experts from the Higher School of Economics proposed, in their response to the draft federal budget for 2021-2023, to increase taxes on the non-invested high personal incomes of wealthy Russians and the non-invested free funds of corporations. Personal income tax for people whose incomes exceed 12 and 24 million per year, according to experts, should be 20-24 percent.
Since January 1, the flat scale of personal income tax has ceased to operate in Russia: the tax on incomes that exceed five million rubles a year has increased from 13 to 15 percent. This money will be used to treat children with orphan diseases.
