Bad News: Forbes Delays iPhone Technology Implementation

MOSCOW, March 14 – RIA Novosti. The American magazine Forbes called “bad news” for iPhone fans a message about the delay in upgrading new models of Apple smartphones.

As the newspaper writes, the company will only start using the “obligatory technology at the present time”, which is already on the majority of Android flagships, only in two years.

We are talking about periscope cameras. Thus, the authoritative industry analyst Min-Chi Kuo predicts its appearance on Apple products no earlier than 2023 – a year later than previously expected.

The periscope or “folded” lens fits a powerful zoom into the limited size of a smartphone by redirecting light sideways through the body through a circuit of lenses, mirrors and prisms, explains in the material. This method is already being used with great success on Apple rival smartphones – for example, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, which supports 10x optical zoom, while the iPhone 12 Pro Max is limited to only 2.5x “zoom”.
