EKATERINBURG, March 13 – RIA Novosti. The plane of the S7 airline, flying from Moscow to Novosibirsk, urgently landed in Tyumen, according to the Ural Transport Prosecutor's Office.
According to the department, the aircraft landed at Roshchino airport at 04:22 local time (02:22 Moscow time).
“The preliminary reason for the landing of the aircraft is the failure of the second engine. The landing was carried out in the normal mode,” the message says.
There were 197 passengers on board the A-321 liner, including seven children. All were placed in a sanitary zone.
The airline provided a reserve aircraft, and at 10:07 (08:07 Moscow time) it flew to Novosibirsk.
The Ural Transport Prosecutor's Office took control of the situation. The Ural Investigative Directorate of Transport is also conducting an audit.
