S.-PETERSBURG, 12 March – RIA Novosti. The Primorsky District Court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions against a minor accused of raping a 16-year-old girl, according to the joint press service of the St. Petersburg courts.
“The court refused to arrest the investigation, choosing a ban on certain actions until 05/11/2021,” the joint press service said in a statement.
Earlier, the media wrote that the mother of the victim reported the rape to the St. Petersburg police. The woman said that on the night of February 22, three guys raped her daughter in an apartment on Morskoy Prospekt. The sixteen-year-old victim was hospitalized with serious injuries and abrasions. A criminal case was opened for rape.
The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to transfer the criminal case on the rape of a minor resident of St. Petersburg to the central office of the Investigative Committee. As the press service of the UK explained, this decision was made after studying the report provided by regional investigators on the progress and interim results of the investigation of the criminal case, including due to the fact that a preventive measure was not chosen for the girl's rape suspect.
