Rakhimov's wife, Soviet and Russian singer Alla Yoshpe, died on January 30.
Rakhimov was born in Uzbekistan in 1937. His mother was a soloist of the Tashkent Musical Drama Theater. After moving to the capital, he entered the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. He met his future wife Alla Yoshpe Rakhimov in 1960. Since 1963, they have started professional pop activity. In 1979, the couple wanted to leave for Israel to treat Yoshpa, but the country did not let them out. In addition, they were banned from performing on stage. In the late 1980s, the artists resumed their concert activities.
In 2002, he and Yoshpe were awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia.
