Ukrainian Armed Forces violated ceasefire six times a day, DPR said

DONETSK, 11 March – RIA Novosti. Ukrainian security forces violated the ceasefire ceasefire six times over the past day, told reporters on Thursday at the office of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime (JCCC).

On Wednesday, the DPR announced five violations of the ceasefire by the Ukrainian security forces.

“Over the past day, the total number of violations by the armed formations of Ukraine amounted to six times,” said a DPR spokesman at the JCCC.

According to him, the Ukrainian security forces fired at the republic from mortars, grenade launchers and small arms.

“The total number of ammunition used by the armed formations of Ukraine is 36 units,” added a representative of the department.

In Donbass, on July 27, 2020, additional measures to ensure an armistice came into force. These measures imply a complete ban on firing, placing weapons in and near settlements, offensive and reconnaissance and sabotage actions. The engineering equipment of positions and the use of drones by the parties to the conflict near the contact line are also prohibited. In addition, the measures provide for disciplinary liability for violation of the ceasefire. Ceasefire orders containing measures to maintain it must be in effect until the conflict is fully resolved.
