Soloviev appreciated the idea of introducing a tax for YouTube bloggers outside the US

The journalist and presenter of the YouTube channel “Solovyov Live” Vladimir Soloviev, commenting on RIA Novosti's message about the possible withholding of taxes by Google from bloggers outside the United States, raised the question of what responsibility in this case the company will take upon itself and what to do for users for proceeds account.

Earlier on the site Google, which owns the YouTube service, a message appeared, from which it follows that the company may begin to withhold taxes on video bloggers outside the United States who receive advertising income in the summer. “Will he also pay a pension? who use are taxpayers, then the question arises: what responsibility do they take upon themselves? On the eve of the newspaper “Vedomosti” wrote that foreign companies may be obliged to pay personal income tax for Russian bloggers who make money from advertising using platforms such as YouTube. According to the newspaper, the proposal of the Ministry of Digital Science is set out in the plan for the development of the information technology industry in Russia. The change must be enshrined in federal law, its draft is planned to be prepared by the middle of the year, according to the list of measures to support the Russian information technology industry, the newspaper wrote.

The holding company Alphabet includes Google with its own search engine. It also includes Android and YouTube, Google Life Sciences, Calico, Sidewalk Labs, Nest, Google Ventures, Google Capital and Google X. The company had 114,000 employees as of September 30, 2019.
