MOSCOW, 11 Mar – RIA Novosti. Officials in Tula were found guilty of the death of a ten-year-old girl, on whom a football goal fell, according to the website of the RF IC.
On the evening of July 18, 2019, a football goal fell on a 10-year-old girl on the sports ground near house 34 in the village of Rassvet, Leninsky District, Tula Region. The UK opened a negligence case on the fact of the incident. The girl died in a Moscow hospital.
According to investigators, the football goal was in a state of danger to the life and health of people. The head of the main department of the city administration and the head of the improvement department did not take measures to control the condition of the sports ground, organize the improvement of its territory.
“The evidence … was found by the court to be sufficient to pass a verdict against the officials of the administration of one of the districts of the city of Tula. They were found guilty of negligence, which inadvertently resulted in the death of a young girl,” the message says.
It is added that they were sentenced to two and three years' suspended imprisonment.
