VOLOGDA, 10 March – RIA Novosti. The volume of the gross regional product of the Vologda region, despite the coronavirus pandemic, in 2020 amounted to 636 billion rubles, which is comparable to the level of 2019, said the speaker of the Vologda Legislative Assembly Andrei Lutsenko.
“At the end of the year, we see that the situation in the economy, despite all the difficulties, remains stable. The volume of the gross regional product amounted to 636 billion rubles – this is the level of 2019. This year, if there are no new challenges, the growth of GRP is predicted”, – Lutsenko said on Wednesday at a meeting with reporters.
The speaker of the regional parliament stressed that, despite the challenges of last year, the head of the region and the government, in close cooperation with the regional parliament, managed to balance the budget, fulfill all social obligations and continue the course taken earlier for the development of the region. “It should be noted that at the very beginning of the pandemic there was This is why during the year various support measures were discussed that allowed to minimize negative consequences. More than 100 measures were developed. They related to amendments to the current legislation – tax preferences were introduced, as well as work with banks on mortgage lending, support of a number of industries. As a result, the total amount of state support measures amounted to about 1.3 billion rubles, “Lutsenko said.
The head of the Legislative Assembly added that within the framework of federal support measures in April and May 2020, subsidies were allocated to maintain the number of working personnel. Subsidies were allocated to 12 thousand entrepreneurs for 58.9 thousand employees in the amount of 716 million rubles. At the same time, from July 15 to August 15, 2020, subsidies were provided for disinfection and prevention of a new coronavirus infection, which were used by 2.5 thousand organizations in the amount of 36.5 million rubles. In the same period, 30 taxpayers were granted tax deferral in the amount of 50.3 million rubles.
In addition, 35 million rubles were allocated from the budget of the Vologda region in 2020 for the issuance of microloans to replenish working capital, pay wages and re-profile the activities of organizations and individual entrepreneurs of the region. A whole package of tax laws was also adopted to support sectors of the economy affected by the pandemic.
