MOSCOW, March 10 – RIA Novosti. SpaceX has received a Pentagon contract worth more than $ 159 million to launch two vehicles for the U.S. military by the end of fiscal 2023, the U.S. Department of Defense said.
In addition to SpaceX, the Pentagon's traditional partner for military space launches, United Launch Alliance (ULA), has received a contract worth more than $ 224 million to launch two vehicles for the US Armed Forces.
In October last year, SpaceX received a $ 149 million government contract from the Pentagon as part of a program to build satellites to track rocket launches. SpaceX was slated to use its Starlink telecommunications satellite plant to build satellites with wide-angle infrared sensors.
