MOSCOW, March 9 – RIA Novosti. Roskomnadzor has summoned representatives of the Paramount Comedy TV channel for a preventive conversation, according to the agency's website.
“During the monitoring, it was found that in one of the episodes of the South Park animated series, scenes were shown on the TV channel, contributing to the formation in society of ideas about compliance with the social norms of intimate relations between adults and minors,” the Roskomnadzor website says.
The animated series, as noted on the website of the department, has a sign of information products “18+”, is distributed after 23.00 and is aimed at an adult audience. At the same time, Russian legislation provides for criminal liability for acts of a sexual nature with a minor.
“Roskomnadzor recommended that the representatives of the TV channel, when forming the broadcasting network, take a more careful approach to the issue of selecting video materials and correlate them with the requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as the moral and ethical standards of Russian society,” the website says.
