MOSCOW, March 9 – RIA Novosti. Russia considers it important not to overload the task of restoring the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian nuclear program in full, it is necessary to develop a synchronous scheme of steps to return to the deal between Iran and the United States, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
We welcome the decision of the administration of (US President) Joe Biden to return to the JCPOA, although it has not yet been implemented, since in the US itself, as I understand it, there is a process of thinking about how to do this, “Lavrov said at a press conference after negotiations with the head of the UAE Foreign Ministry.
According to him, there are those “who speak louder and louder about the need to revive the JCPOA in an updated, modernized form.”
“We are convinced that now we need not to overload the task of restoring the JCPOA in full with some other, albeit very important, considerations and concerns. In order to solve this immediate task, we consider it quite possible to develop synchronous steps, simultaneous steps, in stages, which the Iranians and the United States will have to undertake, “the minister stressed.
