MOSCOW, March 9 – RIA Novosti. The Israeli authorities at the moment refuse to recognize the Indian vaccine against the Covishield coronavirus used in Ukraine, the country's ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk said on the air of the Ukraine 24 TV channel.
According to him, Ukraine and Israel are negotiating on mutual recognition of vaccination passports for tourist travel. “We still have problems with this, since Israel is not going to approve the vaccines that are used by the Ukrainian government,” Korniychuk said.
The diplomat added that both countries “will resolve” this issue in the near future.
A plane from India with 500 thousand doses of Oxford / AstraZeneca (Сovishield) vaccine against COVID-19 arrived in Kiev on February 23 in the morning. Vaccination in Ukraine began on 24 February. According to the country's Ministry of Health, almost 12.5 thousand vaccinations have been made since the beginning of vaccination.
