KRASNOYARSK, 9 Mar – RIA Novosti. Governor Alexander Uss instructed the regional government to develop organizational and managerial mechanisms for the integrated development of the territory of the former military town in Krasnoyarsk, in order to preserve individual buildings and fragments of the layout and organically integrate them into modern buildings, the press service of the head of the region told RIA Novosti.
According to her, the prospects for the development of the former military town, located in the Soviet district of Krasnoyarsk, were discussed on Tuesday at a meeting of the presidium of the regional government. Currently, the land plots on Malinovsky Street are owned by the RF Ministry of Defense and are not used, which complicates the development of transport and pedestrian connections between microdistricts.
The regional administration is actively working to get the plots into the ownership of the region. Earlier this year, Uss, during a working visit to Moscow, discussed with the general director of Dom.RF JSC Vitaly Mutko the issue of transferring unused land plots, which are in federal ownership, for housing construction to the region.
The head of the regional service in the field of urban planning activities Konstantin Shumov noted that “the territory has significant historical and cultural potential, in this regard, it is necessary to preserve individual buildings and planning fragments, integrating them into the modern urban planning environment.”
During the discussion, the chairman of the City Institute Boris Shatalov presented several project proposals for the development of this area. According to preliminary calculations of specialists, more than a million square meters of housing can be built here for more than 50 thousand people, as well as three schools, five kindergartens and one clinic.
“The Governor stressed that the development of the territory should be comprehensive. At the same time, the sites must be provided with engineering infrastructure in advance. Also, the head of the region instructed the regional government to develop organizational and managerial mechanisms for the integrated development of the territory of the former military town in Krasnoyarsk,” the press service said.
