WASHINGTON, 8 Mar – RIA Novosti. The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected the last of three electoral appeals by former President Donald Trump, the court's base shows.
The court upheld a lower court ruling that dismissed Trump's claim not to count the results of thousands of votes in Wisconsin, which Trump lost to Joe Biden by 20,000 votes. The Supreme Court did not explain its decision.
The Supreme Court has previously refused to consider a lawsuit by Texas and a number of states demanding a review of the presidential election results. Despite the fact that there are three Trump appointees on the Supreme Court, the court made it clear that it is not going to interfere with the counting of votes, which the state authorities are engaged in.
In the lower courts, Trump lost about 55 cases and won only one, which, however, did not affect the election results. At the same time, Trump still does not recognize the election results and claims that he won them.
