MOSCOW, 8 March – RIA Novosti. Turkish doctors have listed the main ways to lower blood pressure without medication, writes Sabah.
First of all, experts recommend reconsidering your eating habits: reduce salt intake, introduce meals rich in protein, as well as foods high in potassium into the diet, and eat dark chocolate.
Further, doctors pay attention to the drinking regime, noting that in order to normalize pressure, it is necessary, if possible, to abandon drinks with caffeine and replace them with herbal teas – green or based on hibiscus.
In addition, doctors point out the importance of other aspects of lifestyle and advise avoiding stress, as it releases hormones that increase heart rate and constrict blood vessels. Also, keep in mind that regular exercise – even just walking – is as effective as medications used to lower blood pressure.
