S.-PETERSBURG, March 7 – RIA Novosti. A criminal case was opened after an attack by stray dogs on a four-year-old girl in the city of Pechora in the Komi Republic, the injured child was hospitalized in a hospital where he is being treated, the republican SUSK RF reports.
Earlier it was reported that on February 27, a four-year-old girl in Pechora, who was going to her aunt in a neighboring house, was attacked by stray dogs. The child had wounds to the head, face and legs. The girl was operated on at the Pechora Central Regional Hospital, she was in intensive care. Her condition was assessed as consistently serious. The head of the republic, Vladimir Uyba, instructed to provide the injured child with all the necessary assistance. Investigative authorities began to check the incident. In early March, the administration of the Pechora municipal district told RIA Novosti that the girl had been transferred from intensive care to the trauma department.
“Investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Komi Republic on the fact of the attack of stray dogs on a girl in the city of Pechora have opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence),” the message says.
Currently, investigative and procedural actions are being carried out in the criminal case aimed at establishing the causes and circumstances of the incident, as well as determining the perpetrators who improperly carried out the organization of the capture of neglected animals.
