The spill of oil products occurred in the Oktyabrsky District of the Amur Region at the station of the ESPO-2 pipeline; the incident did not affect the operation of the second stage of the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean oil pipeline, reports the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Amur Region.
The spill occurred on the territory of an oil refinery, the leak was detected from the connection of the siphon valve in the square of the tank. “All released oil is localized within the perimeter of a special sealed embankment zone. The operation of the second stage of the pipeline system “Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean” is being carried out as usual. The cause of the incident is being established, “the statement says.
Emergency rescue teams of Transneft, as well as the operational group of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Amur Region, are working at the scene.
