NOVOSIBIRSK, 7 Mar – RIA Novosti. Three people were injured in a fire on Sunday in a private hostel in Novosibirsk, they were hospitalized with burns, a representative of the GUMChS in the Novosibirsk region told reporters.
“At 04.22 (00.22 Moscow time) a fire broke out in a two-story private residential building on Volochaevskaya Street. At the time of the arrival of the first fire and rescue unit, the second floor of the residential building was on fire. For an hour, firefighters liquidated the open burning. As a result of the fire, the fire damaged the second and the mansard floor on a total area of 100 square meters, there was a partial collapse of the attic floor structures, “the head office said.
The GUMChS clarified that before the arrival of the fire brigade, 14 people independently evacuated from the house and were accommodated with relatives. According to the owner, the house housed a hostel with 14 living quarters.
“Three people were injured – two women and a man, with burns of varying severity, were hospitalized in a burn center. 32 people and ten pieces of equipment were involved in the response,” a spokesman for the Emergencies Ministry said.
