CAIRO, 5 Mar – RIA Novosti. At least 18 people, including five children, died on Saturday night in an accident in the province of Giza in northern Egypt, Akhbar el-Youm reported.
According to the portal, a minibus collided with a truck on a highway near the city of Atfih in Giza province.
Five victims of the accident were taken to the hospital in the city of Bani Sueif, which is located near the scene.
According to the calculations of the Central Bureau of Statistics of Egypt, in 2019, almost 80% of road traffic accidents in the country were caused by the human factor, and almost 3,500 people became victims of road traffic accidents.
