KAZAN, 6 March – RIA Novosti. About 80 thousand teachers for training in digital specialties need to be trained in Russia by 2024, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
“Until 2024, we need 80 thousand teachers, this is still calculated data … I do not really understand who will train these teachers,” he said during the “Human Resources for the Digital Economy” meeting.
Chernyshenko added that 16 thousand teachers of universities and institutions of secondary vocational education should be retrained this year.
According to him, some specialties do not need to be taught for five years, it is much faster to train specialists in working with data, programming industrial languages or working with the help of artificial intelligence. According to him, it is these specialists that are badly needed by the economy.
He noted that now the shortage of personnel in IT specialties alone is more than 700 thousand people, and according to some estimates – up to 1 million people.
