MOSCOW, 4 Mar – RIA Novosti. A resident of Podolsk who left her little daughter unattended was accused of causing death by negligence, said Olga Vradiy, senior assistant to the head of the Main Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Moscow region.
“A thirty-four-year-old local woman was charged with causing death by negligence of her three-year-old daughter (part 1 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The accused was chosen a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions,” Vradiy said.
On March 1, neighbors heard a loud bang in one of the apartment buildings on Sverdlov Street in Podolsk. Going out into the corridor, they smelled smoke and called the firefighters. As it turned out, a fire engulfed an apartment where a little girl was unattended. She was hospitalized, but the doctors failed to save her.
According to Vradiy, the mother locked the child in the apartment and went to drink alcohol. Previously, the accused has more than once been brought to administrative responsibility for failure to fulfill the duties of raising her daughter.
