MOSCOW, 5 March – RIA Novosti. The number of Krasnoyarsk schoolchildren poisoned in canteens has increased to 131, said Dmitry Glushko, First Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation.
Earlier it was reported that 91 cases of yersiniosis among students in 25 schools were registered in Krasnoyarsk. According to the Ministry of Health, 51 children remain in hospitals, five have been discharged. Children were poisoned by vegetable salads in canteens. The activity of the vegetable supplier has been suspended due to unsanitary conditions and rodents in the warehouses. Two criminal cases were initiated.
“Today, the operational headquarters examined in detail the situation in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, in which, according to media reports, at the beginning of this week there were 70 complaints from children with poisoning, and today the first deputy head of the Krasnoyarsk city administration informed that the number of those who applied has increased to 131,” wrote Glushko in his Telegram channel.
He noted that the root of the problem is the concealment of information by the school director, which, according to the deputy minister, borders on a crime against children.
