S.-PETERSBURG, March 3 – RIA Novosti. The magistrate of the court district No. 17 of the Pytalovsky district of the Pskov region has appointed a 3,000-ruble fine to a local resident who sent an insulting address to the regional governor's Internet reception, the joint press service of regional courts reports.
“Citizen A. On December 16 … at about 00 hours 55 minutes, using his e-mail, he sent to the Internet reception of the administration of the Pskov region and the executive authorities of the Pskov region an appeal expressed in an indecent form, the content of which insulted the state authorities of the region, in including the governor of the Pskov region Vedernikov M.Yu “, – said in the message.
The man was found guilty under the first part of Article 5.61 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“insult”), which provides for the appointment of an administrative fine to citizens in the amount of up to 5 thousand rubles.
As noted by the judicial press service, a resident of Pytalovsky district fully admitted his guilt and repented.
“(He) was found guilty of committing the specified administrative offense, and he was sentenced to a fine of 3 thousand rubles,” the department informs.
